A bill that will legally compel British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ask for a Brexit extension beyond October 31 has been given royal assent by Queen Elizabeth II, with parliament now due to shut down until mid October.

Will someone (anyone) please explain the significance of this statement recently appearing on the news headlines here.

Yes quite simply the barmaids are making sure we don’t get the ale we ordered

I ordered a drink 3 years ago

I did not know what sort of drink

I did not know how much it would cost

I thought I’d get £3.50 back if I ordered it

I know I was completely misled about all this but that just shows how easily misled I was

I know you have poured and offered me what I thought I was getting three times and I have refused it each time

Now it is over three years since I ordered it and anyway only a third of me said I actually wanted a drink

It has so gone stale and all you can offer me is the same again although it now has Cummings all over it

This really is too difficult to swallow

I think it would be best if I ordered again only this time we will agree in advance what you can offer me and we will need to agree the price in advance

We will need to keep Cummings out of it as nobody finds that palatable

And today the courts have unanimously said that the great liar has been lying to the queen
In days past that would have been head on the block stuff

Nobody should be surprised

The shock would be if it had been found that he had told the truth at any stage in the last four years

He couldn’t get it right over the woman in Iranian prison he swore he would lie in front of the tractors at Heathrow and now Cummings is telling him how to lie even more than before
No wonder so many were conned by him over the referendum

When you are led astray by either great liar or goebbels you know this is not democracy in action

I fully believe that he is the finest great liar that we have as prime minister since the start of August

If there is any evidence to the contrary then it would be good to hear it

No argument from me. Just that I'm happy with his lies unlike those from the Jock leader who claims her fellow country folk want to leave the union and remain in Europe, or the new leader of the LibDems who obviously thinks like a little girl who thinks that a majority means you should try and do what the minority want. As for the beardy count he too wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit him.

1 They were all re-elected in the general election. and then failed their constituents

2 pWe are in a representative democracy that is failing

3 the referendum was advisory to parliament and yet parliament hasn't taken a blind bit of notice

4 how did Rees mogs constituency vote no idea you tell me
Just as an afterthought to Point 1, they are Labour polititians so no doubt they would have lied to their constituents telling them they would support their decision to leave.
