Alf Hand R.I.P.

Post by Wycliffe » 08 May 2019, 21:51

Sad to hear he passed away yesterday after a very long illness.
Been poorly for ages.

It may take a while to really appreciate quite what he has done over many decades for our football club.

Some of his business partners may leave a little to be desired particularly Colin Hill but unlike him Alf remained.

A great mentor to Chris Turner, he will be missed.

That is very, very, sad. I understood last week he was still very ill. I have great admiration for him and certainly Chris T. thought the world of him.

Sad news. The survival of the club in the 1980's/90's was in no small way due to the support provided by Alf.

Indeed. Massively important personality in our club's history.
